What to include
The more of this you send, the faster the answer:
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- Roughly when it happened, so we can find the submission.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version.
- A screenshot, if there was something on screen worth seeing.
The things that go wrong most
"We couldn't see a swing in that clip"
The app looks for swing-shaped motion. It struggles when you are small in the frame, when the camera is moving as much as you are, or when the clip contains a practice swing, a walk-off, and the real swing all together. Prop the phone at hip height, stand close enough to fill a good part of the frame, and keep one swing per clip.
The analysis says it could not see a position
That is the app being straight with you rather than failing. Each camera angle hides something, and Strike Lab greys out what it could not read instead of guessing. Film the same swing from the other angle and the hidden position usually appears.
It picked the wrong swing
When the app finds more than one swing in a video it asks you to tap the one you meant. If it picked wrong, submit again and choose from the thumbnails.
The read does not match what you feel
Tell the app the miss you are fighting — it will say whether the diagnosis lines up with your ball flight. If it consistently does not, we want to hear about it. Email us and say which swing, and a person will look at that footage.
Deleting your swings
In the app, deleting your data clears it from your phone. To have your swings removed from our servers too, email us from the address on your account and say what you want gone — one swing or all of it. We action these within 30 days. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
What it costs
Nothing at the moment. Strike Lab is free while we are getting started. If that changes we will say so in the app first.
Anything else
Feature requests, a swing the app read badly, a bug, or a question this page does not answer — all to mike@precisionappsllc.com.
